These photos are all around 1Mb, so reasonable resolution, and hopefully are a record of a lovely time. If you would like to download any, simply right click and save as.... For Philip Vince to call and discuss the full Majestic Crystal range of beautiful crystal to reward your beautiful members, societies and team, he would be more than a little happy. We could send you our brochure, and if you send your artwork, we will send you some beautifully engraved samples - with our compliments - to help you reward your so deserving winners, long serving staff, 40, 50, 60, 70 or (once!) 80 year membership, and as an additional prize and thank you for your important visiting societies. That will be all of them then...!
Moor Park Golf Club 30th October 2017. Possibly the most impressive club house on the planet, backed up with certainly the finest team anywhere. Thank you to David Cook's wonderful gang for making us so at home. Thank you for coming, without you it wouldn't have been so much fun - blessed as we were with a delightful autumnal morning. So many friendships are made at events like this. On a personal note, thanks to all of you who support lil' ol' Majestic Crystal with your imagination and bright ideas - as they say, we couldn't make it up, and we would be nothing without you..... The West course at Moor Park is not an overly long course at 5883 yards, but it most certainly did not play short off the White Tees; with penal rough and some wickedly sloping greens, scoring was never easy. That said, it takes nothing away from our host, who, with a little local knowledge, and showing a very clean pair of heels to the rest of the field, David Cook (14) came home with 41pts, a superb score on a wonderful day.
Runner up on 36pts on countback was Paul Smith (7) Faversham, pipping Chris Cuttler (5) down all the way from Dore & Totley to enjoy (and be amazed by) the Moor Park experience. David Owen (10) Poulton Park, the winner at Headingley and another long distance traveller came fourth on 32pts alongside another previous qualifying winner Matthew Bowman (13) Ely City. The final qualifying place went to Keith Fisher (15) Rowlands Castle ably assisted by ‘Head Girl’ Diana. We shall look forward to seeing them all at Formby next May. Ray Griffiths from Mullion was presented with the Longest Drive award... Cornwall to Hoylake, to ‘the Gogs’, to Moor Park – hopefully we will see Ray at North Hants, where he surely will qualify for the Final.
There were many near misses by some ‘tour’ regulars’. Patrick Dawson, who is recovering from a detached retina - (wonderful to see him back on a course though) - came close also on 31pts, as did Ray Grant on 30pts and the 29s included Messrs Ruscoe, Barker, Gillett – better luck next time!?
